What a perfect evening for a photo session! Amazing golden sunlight + flowers in bloom made for a magical backdrop at Harkness Park in Waterford, CT. And Rebecca and her family totally rocked it! She is starting a blog and wanted some head shots for her website, but figured why not make it a family affair ;-) She and daughter Rosie are both just so incredibly lovely, and their personalities really shined through...happy girls are most definitely the prettiest! ♡

Danielle, Mike, and big brother, Brayden, welcomed their newest addition last week, and he is simply precious! He was full of SO much independence and personality at just three days old (trust me, he made us work for these angelic, sleepy poses), I think he's going to be a little firecracker when he grows up! I can't wait to capture all that personality when I take his six month photos this winter...stay tuned for more cuteness! P.S. How amazing is that name sign?! ♡
Sometimes family sessions aren't about striking the perfect pose, sometimes they're about capturing the energy and love that makes each family unique - that makes each family, a family. Twins Audrey and Joey made me work extra hard for those smiles, as most four-year-olds do, but when I caught a moment, it was absolutely pure magic!
Some women truly do naturally glow when pregnant... Danielle is one of those lucky moms! She was simply radiant. Baby Porter is already so loved, especially by excited big brother-to-be Brayden! I cannot wait to meet the new addition in just a few weeks...newborn photos to come! ♡ 'True love is not the number of kisses, or how often you get them, true love is the feeling that still lingers long after the kiss is over.' -Anonymous
I am so honored to have been witness to Nancy and Jim exchange their wedding vows after being together for more than fifteen years! ♡ They chose the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina in Niantic, Connecticut as their stunning backdrop. The love and joy between these two elopers was simply infectious, and I wish them all the best in their new [married] life together! Beautiful Briar joins big brother, Hunter, who I also first met as a newborn, and had the pleasure of documenting throughout his first year! Opinionated Miss Briar (and a very gloomy day) presented me with quite the challenge at times, but I am in love with the sweet details and simple honesty that exude from this session, which is really what newborn sessions are all about ♡
It was so mild yesterday, it was hard to believe it was mid-December! There is something very wintry however about the bright blue-hued wardrobe this family chose, which I just love. I had so much fun working with these kids...SO much personality! And I think 5-year-old Darcy is ready for her modeling contract ;-)
I'm not sure which shone brighter during our late afternoon walk through the woods...the amazing golden hour light, or the love this family shared for each other ♡
I have been photographing lovely Maya since she was just four months old...she never fails to disappoint with her playful spirit and big blue eyes! She also has (hands down) the best pout I've ever seen! I give you Maya, at age 2!
Sweet, sleepy, and satisfied - that was handsome little Ethan in a nutshell! He was 14 days new, perfect in every way, and so content he even gave us a tiny smirk ♡
I absolutely LOVE sessions where I have so many favorites, it's hard to pick which ones to blog! Tara is such a stunning mom-to-be and natural in front of the lens, that she really made it difficult to choose! Congrats guys on your little girl (due to make her appearance in July)!
And just like that, in the blink of eye, sweet Callan is ONE! Just over a year after I photographed his mama's baby bump, he has blossomed into such a little man! This birthday boy was quite serious about that cake (as he should be), you do only get a first birthday once. We had SO much fun watching him make that mess!
I love when I get to follow babies as they grow! My journey with handsome little Callan began before he was born, with mom Angel's maternity session back when there was still snow on the ground. I then had the opportunity to capture him as a sweet newborn, and here he is looking like such a big boy with a budding personality! I can hardly wait for his 1 year session this winter!
Korie truly had that expectant momma glow about her, and I loved how her choice of wardrobe really complimented the secret garden aspect of the location. The light that evening was also simply amazing! Daughter and big sis-to-be Adalynn was a lot of fun too and you could tell how much she already loved her baby sister, who unbelievably made a (very) early entrance - six weeks to be exact - just five days after our session! (Baby Ellason is doing just fine and is home already!) Congrats guys! :-)
