This was my second year capturing memories for this beautiful family, and golden hour light did not disappoint :-) I have done dozens of sessions at Harkness over the years, but never before in front of this old white barn/shed that caught our eye...it was the perfect backdrop though for these handsome boys and their dark blues ♡ I love finding new things!

I don't normally shoot mid-day because the light can be very harsh, but sometimes I will accommodate a family while there is still seasonal tree cover to coincide with nap schedules for very little ones. While shooting at golden hour is ideal and what most photographers strive for, it's not always feasible. Golden hour light is still without question my favorite, but I have to admit, I kind of love the warm, late summer glow the bright light gives these! ♡
I loved everything about this family session on the water...from the beach-y blues to the big, beautiful smiles! The property has been in their family for generations which added an extra special touch. They were all so lovely and so much fun! And little Caroline and William were some of the most amazing child models ;-)
There is something so special and intimate about a family session at home. I did pregnancy announcement photos for this beautiful family last fall, and was so excited to photograph them as a family of four now that baby Milo has arrived ♡
I shared lots of laughs with Claire, Bill and their four lovely daughters Claire, Celeste, Cheryl and Candace during their session last weekend in celebration of Claire & Bill's 60th wedding anniversary! McCook Park in Niantic not only made a beautiful backdrop, but held many happy memories for all of them as East Lyme natives. It was truly an honor to capture this special milestone for them ♡
I am SO excited to announce that my nephew, Archer, arrived a few weeks ago (and is quite possibly the cutest baby EVER! - totally not biased at all) ;-) Check out all that amazing hair! He made his entrance into the world just over 3 weeks early, luckily very healthy! And my sister and brother-in-law got the greatest Christmas gift of all this year by being able to bring him home on Christmas Day ♡
I first worked with this gorgeous family in the fall of 2019 and had the honor of capturing more memories right before the holidays 2020. They chose their lovely home as a backdrop, which added such an extra special personal touch to their session. Love how these turned out! These girls have the most beautiful smiles ♡
Hard to believe in just nine weeks, my new niece or nephew will be here! I cannot wait to find out which one it is! I captured a few more bump photos last weekend, this time in Hoboken, New Jersey. We took advantage of the (unseasonably) mild weather as well as the amazing golden foliage along the Hudson, followed by a stroll through a quiet cobblestone alley. I still think she's absolutely glowing ♡
I am SO excited to share that my little sister is expecting her first child early this winter! While she was up for a visit last month, we decided to take some preliminary maternity photos (23 weeks). I love how striking her garnet dress looked amidst the beautiful mid-September green gardens. And she definitely has that mama-to-be radiant glow.
The gender of the baby will be a surprise and I am extremely anxious to find out...my guess is girl! Either way, I cannot wait to meet my new niece or nephew ♡ Baby snuggles! P.S. More maternity pics to come in a few weeks! There's no place like home, this year more than ever. And when you have a lovely stone wall backdrop right in your front yard, that makes your choice of session location super easy! This beautiful family's yard (and home) added a wonderful personal touch to their images, and the stone wall provided the perfect amount of rustic fall flair. Aren't they the cutest?
Pretty sure I say this every fall, but I am so honored to have had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous family for another year! This was their fifth session with me, and it's been an absolute privilege to capture their growth year after year. This was an extra special session because it was also Lauren & Dean's actual wedding anniversary, and they certainly have much to celebrate with their three beautiful children (and THE world's sweetest dog) ♡
I last saw Grayson nearly a year ago when he was just a tiny little newborn. Seeing my newborn clients grow up is truly such a joy for me! His big blue eyes were full of so much personality and based on his speed crawling abilities, he will be running circles around mom and dad in no time! On another note, Enders Island was such a gorgeous backdrop, I will definitely be keeping it in mind for future sessions! ♡
I captured this lovely family (wonderful friends of ours) on a gorgeous (yet windy and super wavy) day at Point O' Woods Beach in Old Lyme. Just like their two (sooo adorable) little boys, I love the energy in this session! As a boy mama myself, I know all too well that having boys is crazy, fun, messy, silly, amazingly beautiful chaos ♡
Erin's session is proof that even your own backyard can create a stunning backdrop! I was in love with the woodsy mid-summer vibe, and her wardrobe choices lended the perfect pops of cool blues and crisp whites against the luscious greenery. Also, is she not absolutely stunning?!?
Madeline ~ 6 Month Session { Connecticut Baby Photographer | Connecticut Family Photographer }7/30/2020 Six month old Madeline was so sweet and beyond adored by her mom and dad - it wasn't hard to see why when you look at that little face! The beautiful summer gardens at Harkness Park were the perfect backdrop to add lush greenery and fresh pops of color, as well as a feminine touch, to Madeline's session ♡
